About the Artist
Caroline Elsner is a Grand Rapids MI based illustrator with a BFA in Illustration from Grand Valley State University. She grew up on a farm in rural west Michigan and has spent plenty of time surrounded by farm animals, foraging, hiking, and encountering wildlife.
Her work focuses on the way fairy tales and folklore stories have been shaped by our experiences and relationship with nature and the environment.
She has been attending conventions as an artist for five years, and has experience teaching illustration at a college level as well as kids art programming.
